Survive the Nights is supposedly a more in-depth SoD but it looks like it's vaporware at best. The Union City MMO is the closest you can get to a 'feature-length' installment, but the Last Stand games in general are well-made and will seem very familiar to an SoD player.ħ Days to Die is like DayZ crossed with Minecraft, but single-player only and based around crafting. The Last Stand series (flash games, developed by Armor Games) is the closest you will get to SoD-style gameplay. PZ is a hardcore version of SoD, so that's out.
I don't really enjoy multiplayer survival games (like DayZ).ĭead State is narrative-based and has more to do with the interpersonal relationship between survivors than resource management. So, are there any games similar to this? I've played Project Zomboid and it has all of the elements I enjoy (RPG, survival focused, etc.) but I've just found it far to hardcore for my liking (which is why I enjoyed State of Decay more it was similar to Zomboid, but not as difficult). I liked going out and scavenging supplies as well as building up the home base with facilities.
